The American Legion Post#2, in conjunction with the Bristol Veterans Council
and the Sea Scouts, conducted a Flag Retirement ceremony.
The event took place near the Pavilion in rear of Legion Hall.
Collection of used, deteriorated flags ran from 9:00am - 9:45am.
Flag Retirement ceremony started at 10:00am and lasted until 11:30am.

The present Civil War Monument at the West Cemetery is going to be a thing of the past as

The brownstone keeps being eaten away by the weather. We cannot let our history fade, so

Therefore we are asking for your help

Please help us
We are in dire need of funds and are asking all our citizens to help us raise
The money to erect a new monument on the Boulevard to commemorate
Those who gave their lives from this area in the Civil War.

Sept 01, Every Wednesday, Dart League Tournament, come down to the bar and sign up.

Sept 05, Every FIRST Sunday, each month, POOL Tournament at 1:00pm, come down to the bar and sign up.

Sept 08, Every Wednesday, Dart League Tournament, come down to the bar and sign up.

Sept 12, Sunday Breakfast, each month second Sunday, 8:00am to 11:30am.

Sept 14, Every Second Tuesday, each month, Legion's Monthly Meeting at 7:00pm. Plan to attend.

   Sept   14,   VETERAN SERVICES, at the Post on Second Tuesday each month.
                   From 5:30pm to 7:00pm, NO appointment necessary.
                     Veterans can make appointments from the Legion Hall or their home.

The CT Department of Veterans' Affairs has begun a new Veterans' Service Program.
The service officer will provide general information and assistance to state's veterans.

Each month, on the Second Tuesday, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
No appointment is needed to visit with Lori DiFillippi.

POOL TOURNAMENT, FIRST SUNDAY EACH MONTH AT 1:00pm

HORSE SHOES TOURNAMENT, EVERY WEDNESDAY, COME DOWN TO THE BAR AND SIGN UP.
DART LEAGUE TOURNAMENT REPLACES HORSE SHOES FROM SEPTEMBER THROUGH MARCH.
